ESRAB will provide advice and support regarding Security Research, and help the Commission implement that part of the upcoming seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technology. This advisory board will be an important forum for consultation and co-operation between stakeholder groups: users, industry and research organisations.

Two of the 50 ESRAB members are from Sweden, FOI Director General
Ms Madelene Sandström and Ericsson Microwave Systems President Mr Erik
Löwenadler. The members are appointed by the Commission.

- ESRAB will help the Commission make European Security Research a powerful
instrument for the security of the European citizen and for supporting
European industry, says Ms Sandström. I expect to be able to promote
through ESRAB Swedish interests in security research.
