Jan-Olof Lind will have particular responsibility for research and has been nominated directly by Javier Solana, Head of the European Defence Agency. Jan-Olof Lind will take up his new post as Chairman of the R&T Steering Board immediately.

“I am greatly looking forward to this important and exciting task. This appointment will give me, and FOI collectively, an even better opportunity to influence the work of European defence research. In particular, this appointment means that I shall be assisting in preparing for, and then chairing, the meeting of the EDA Research and Technology Directors when they next meet in April,” says Jan-Olof Lind.
