Support investigation referred for consideration
[2009-09-16]
Ongoing impact analysis
“Things are going well for FOI and our competencies are in demand right now. That’s why we were surprised to receive the Support Investigation, since several of the proposals didn’t seem to take clients’ benefit from our research into consideration,” says Jan-Olof Lind, acting Director General of FOI.
“An increased focus on the accessibility of our Armed Forces and its ability to take on international efforts also requires goal-oriented and effective research. FOI is mission-driven and flexible enough to support a modern defence force with the requisite technological development,” adds Jan-Olof Lind.
“FOI is a research institute that works long-term, regardless of the structure of operations. All of our undertakings for Swedish clients, as well as for EU research and with international collaborators, are proceeding according to plan. We also take on new projects with confidence as long as our clients give us new assignments.
As everyone knows there are a lot of aspects to the Support Investigation to be studied and our impact analysis is underway. The different parts of referrals are to be submitted by the 3rd of August and the 15th of September, so we will return later in the summer with more information on our position,” concludes Jan-Olof Lind.
