The Government has today approved the appointment of Jan-Olof Lind as Director-General of FOI. Since 2009 he has been Acting Director-General of FOI having already served as Deputy Director-General.

Jan-Olof Lind joined FOI as Deputy Director-General in 2007. In April 2009 he was appointed to the post of Acting Director-General. He has in addition been the Government’s Special Commissioner for military helicopters. Jan-Olof Lind is 48 and has previously worked in the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and the Swedish Government Offices.
