GIS Seminar
This seminar was held in Stockholm, the 16-17 of april, 2007.
This workshop addresses assessing environmental and health threats, and how this work can be supported by GIS.

Geographic information system (GIS) technology already provides an ideal common language for supporting emergency public health preparedness. Human communication, information sharing, and collaboration habits are also essential tools for creating supportive information systems for first responders and decision makers. GIS allow organizations to author and share actionable information and ensure automatic data updates. Everyone with the need to know has immediate and seamless access to field-collected data about infrastructural, operational, and situational information.
Who should attend?
Professionals within the area of environmental and medical threat analysis with some GIS experience. We encourage all participants to contribute with a short presentation on experiences in the field, as a base for the workshop discussions.
