Women, Men and Energy
Within this project we map and analyse the following three aspects concerning gender and energy within three EU countries.
1) To what extent men and women are represented in the energy sector on decision making positions and what policies the different countries have concerning this.
2) How women and men differ concerning indirect and direct energy use.
3) To what extent energy saving measures affect men and women differently. We will investigate energy labelling of household appliances.
The results can be used as platforms for policy decisions in Sweden and the EU and may have high relevance for future energy policies within the union. Project duration is between 2007 and 2008.
