External Actors

FOI Studies in African Security conducts a study series on the involvement and impacts of external actors in African conflicts. The series encompasses both major world powers and international and regional security organisations, such as the EU. The aim is to provide general overviews of the drivers, ends, ways, and means of these external actors. 

For 2008, the series include studies on e.g. 

• France
• The People's Republic of China
• The European Union (EU)
• USA and the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM)
