The effort on methods and tools for design for securability has this far resulted in four prototype tools:

• The SANTA software implementing the eXtended Method for Assessment of System Security (XMASS)
• The ROME2 software implementing the Method for Assessment of System Security (MASS).
• The Heimdal Security Evaluator for component security assessment.
• The ROME software implementing the CAESAR method for system security assessment.
