A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer and contains information. Cookies are commonly used to improve the website for the user.
There are two types of cookies:
The first saves a file remains on your computer. It is used, for example, to adapt a website visitor's preferences, choices and interests.
The second type is called a session cookie. Meanwhile, a visitor is on a web page, stored temporarily in your computer's memory. The cake disappear when you close your browser. No personal information such as email or name stored on the visitor.
According to the Electronic Communications Act, SFS 2003: 389, which entered into force on 25 July 2003, everyone who visits a website with cookies should be informed that the website contains cookies, what these cookies are used for and how cookies can be avoided. July 1, 2011 changed the law so that visitors to a website actively consent to the website storing cookies.
