Abstract

The project has studied the soldiers' individual protective equipment (IPE) from several viewpoints including energy, multifunctional textiles, ballistic protection and CBRN protection. Scenarios have been created to illustrate how the mission and mission environment affect the choice of IPE. Several study visits have been made and a number of conferences attended, in most cases with an oral or poster presentation. Detailed results of the project have been registered in eight separate documents which are summarized in this report.
