Admire is valid up to the Mach number 1.2, an angle of attack from -10 degrees up to 90 degrees and a sideslip angle of ±20 degrees. Available control actuators are left and right canard, leading edge flap, four elevons, rudder and thrust setting. The model is also equipped with thrust vectoring capability. It is prepared for the use of atmospheric turbulence as external disturbance.

The Admiremodel is augmented with a flight control system (FCS) to provide stability and sufficient handling qualities. The FCS consists of a longitudinal and a lateral part. The function of the longitudinal controller is pitch rate control below Mach 0.6 and load factor control above. The longitudinal control also includes a speed control. The lateral controller enables the pilot to perform roll control around the velocity vector of the aircraft (approximately) and to control the sideslip angle. The control system has been tuned for altitudes up to 6000 m, but works also for higher altitudes. The model includes the possibility to change some parameters in order to facilitate robustness analysis. The available model uncertainties are inertial, aero dynamical, actuator and sensor uncertainties.
Admireis implemented in the Matlab/Simulink environment with the use of standard Simulink blocks and c-mex files. The implementation is made for Matlab6.5/Simulink5.0. To run Admire you need Matlab, Simulink and a C compiler that is supported by Matlab. (Ready to run .dll files for MS Windows are provided in the distribution).
