Swedish Maritime Robotics Centre (SMaRC) is a cross-disciplinary research centre that aims at developing the next generation underwater robots with increased operational range and durability compared to technology of today. Participating organisations are KTH (Royal institute of Technology), Stockholm University, University of Gothenburg, Saab, MMT Sweden, FMV and FOI. The centre is financed by SFF (Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research) and partners. FOI’s part in the project is to supervise two PhD-students with focus on underwater communication and networks.

The project started 2017 and will continue until 2024.
