Abstract
Concepts as The Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA), Asymmetrical Warfare, Grey Area Warfare and Post-Modern War have been used to describe how conflicts may look like in the future due to political changes and technological development in the world today. On the 16-17th of October 2000, a group of international experts were invited by the project "Character of Future Conflicts" in the Division of Defence Analysis, FOA, to share their views on the concepts above and future conflicts in a two-day symposium held in Stockholm, Sweden. Areas covered were, among others, the so-called RMA and its implications for American and European defence policy, networked threats to Governments and subconventional warfare. The papers presented on the 17th of October are published in full length in this report.
