Abstract
A detonation test and a calculation has been carried out. The purpose was to investigate the possibility to dispose a sea mine using a shaped charge type OXA (unexploded ammunition). The mine was up to 2 meters down in the bottom material. The OXA charge is a disposal charge usually used for disposal of unexploded ammunition under ground on land. The conclusion from the test and the calculation is that it is possible to use this disposal charge to dispose a burried sea mine with a steel hull and a TNT-charge up to the distance of 2 m through the sea bed. Calculations indicate that the distance through sand can be increased a bot further. The bottom material was fine sand.
