FOI has during the period 1989-1997 assisted the Supreme Commander in carrying out OPAS examinations. The Supreme Commander decided in 1996 to halt the examinations until 1999. Before then FOI was commissioned to maintain and develop the examination competence. One method is to document obtained observations and put together recommendations for improvements. This report is an account of that undertaking. The report is principally intended for FOI personnel that can be likely to participate in future examinations, but can also be of interest for personnel responsible for examinations within the Armed Forces.
