In this work different geometrical configurations were used to enhance the capabilities for a detonation to develop. By using a predetonator with a different mixture than in the main chamber it was possible to minimize the total amout of extra oxygen to about 2.5% while still obtaining a detonation. Furthermore the experiments showed the importance of shock waves in the transition process.
