Abstract
The software system SILVIA is a tool for simulation of the duel between Air Defence and Ground Attack Aircraft to be used for studies on a technical-tactical level. SILVIA now runs on a PC under Windows NT and a completely new graphical user interface (GUI) has been developed in Visual C++. This report is the result of extensive testing of the new GUI and consists of a collection of comparisons with the underlying specification. The evaluation concludes that almost 80% of the GUI´s functions are wrong and hard to use or useless. The GUI, as of today, lack the robustness required to allow a user making mistakes in different ways without a fatal crash. Since users are unable to link the GUI with the simulation kernel the Turn-Around-Time will be long when the code is updated and corrected with the risk of divergence in versions of SILVIA.
