Abstract
A model for shaped charge jet penetration of targets that consist of two or more plates with great air gaps is proposed in a previous report. A limited number of experiments were carried out. These show that the model is realistic, at least for the intended application in computer programs for assessment of effects and vulnerability for complex targets. The penetration results show considerable scatter. A much more extended measurement program would yield quantitative information about the scatter. This information would then be used to determine shaped charge jet penetration in complex targets via the Monte Carlo method, which already is used in other contexts in these programs.
