Abstract

The main questions for the project LedFrarn are how to design a future system for command and control and how an impartial method should look in order to support the evolutionary development. This final report contains the results as produced by LedFrarn during a period of five years. The airn of this report is to give the reader the possibility to share this knowiedge, not only as written documents but also in the form of the project members´ individual competence. The structure of this report has been made in such a way that the reader will be able to easily find the material and the persons of most interest. Thus, in addition to a brochure in colour we have attached a searchable CD containing this information to the final report. In order to be in the frontline and exploit the advantages of a high tech system for command and control there is both a dernand for research and development of relevant C2-areas and a long-term perspective, where questions in regard of what the whole system should be used for and in what way are posed. A complete system for command and control consists, apart from IT, of doctrine, personnel, organisation and methods. In order to create an efficient system for command and control we have to study these components, their development and how they could be merged.
