This preliminary analysis of the Iraqi war 2003 gives a relatively broad picture of the prehistory of the war, its course and consequences. The main focus is on a discussion of the question of weapons of mass destruction and terrorism, the political processes that led up to the decision of a military campaign, and the consequences of the war for the multilateral institutions and for different countries/regions. The report also touches upon formation of public opinion and psychological operations. Coordination of humanitarian efforts is dealt with. Finally the Swedish view on the Iraqi war is touched upon.
