This report is a survey of studies in engagement of ground targets done at FOI and some examples of weapon system for Precision Engagement (PE) of Air- and Ground targets. The survey is a first and preliminary platform for the continued project work in 2003 and for 2004 to 2005/6. The priority of the continued work will be on the development of future Weapon Systems for Precision Engagement of Ground Targets and the integration of them into a Networked Based Defence (NBF) for the Swedish Armed Forces. Weapon Systems for engagement of Sea and Air Targets as Anti Ship Missiles, Ground to Air Missiles and Air to Air Missiles have already today Precision Engagement Capability. Therefore, the priority for the part of the project work with Precision Engagement of Sea and Air Targets in NBF will be the integration of existing and future weapon system in Command and Control Systems, C2 Systems, and the integration of C2 Systems for Air and Sea Warfare.
