The international development has brought about new threats and terrorism is one of the most important. This study aims at providing base data that can be used for further considerations in two aspects, namely in those situations where the resources of the Swedish Armed Forces are asked for in support of the Police, but also how they should be used efficiently. Against this background, a survey of technology, which could be utilised by the Armed Forces in such context, is presented. Status of development is also presented. The study also provides a set of indicative conclusions. Covered topics includes: command and control; situational awareness; surveillance,incident engagement and protection; management of NBC-related incidents and, finally, simulation and training.
