Abstract
FOI has assisted the military defence in the cleaning-up of the former site of FOI in Ursvik. This report deals with the part of the remediation that concerns handling of objects suspected of containing explosives. Totally 151 objects have been taken care of. Two types of objects contained pyrotechnic explosives. They were 3 practice mine igniters m/47 containing 3 g smoke charge each, and 100 pieces of 12,7 mm incendiary projectiles. Peace ordnance disposal personal from the Swedish Armed Forces and the bomb squad from the police participated at one occasion each. At one occasion help was needed in taking care of incendiary projectiles for destruction and at another occasion we needed assistance in rail off an area in order to safely destroy an object. All found objects have been transported according to existing regulations to FOI:s site in Grindsjön and destroyed. Finally the fragments have been scrapped.
