Defence Industry in Sweden - Consequences of internationalised ownership

Three Swedish companies within the defence industry - Kockums, Bofors and Hägglunds - have been acquired by foreign companies. The authors of the report have interviewed representatives for these companies in Sweden regarding how the foreign ownership has affected their activities. The authors have analysed the acquiring companies´motives for the acquisition.The analysis futher describes how the foreign ownership has affected market and product synergies that have been created. The conclusions of the report are in short that the foreign ownership to a very limited extent has affected the activities in these three defence companies in Sweden.
