During 2006 FOI has been reorganized. The two divisions Weapons and Protection and Systems Technology now form a new division Defence and Security Systems Technology and the Strategy and Markets division has been closed down. During 2006 FOI has carried through 17 environmental research projects for the defence sector with a total income of SEK 15 M. The total income from environmental research carried out for the civil sector was SEK 5,5 M. Of the environmental goals at FOI are 13 listed as connected to important environmental aspects. Eight of these 13 goals have been totally fulfilled or more than half. The use of video meetings has increased from 862 hours 2004 and 1 917 hours 2005 to 2 356 hours 2006. An internal audit of the environmental management systems at the Research Support division has been performed. The total cost for environmental work at FOI during 2006 was SEK 2 080 M. Of this sum SEK 585 M was the cost connected to remediation work at FOI´s premises in Grindsjön.
