Abstract

This document is the final report from the project "Land mine systems - Detection and Neutralisation" and describes the work performed therein between 2000 and 2004. At first, a brief summary of the work is given, where the benefits for the client and some perspectives for the future. Thereafter, the history of mine systems, the mine threat in the world, detection and methods for chemical trace analysis of explosives from mines and other munitions, migration studies, bacterial biosensors, degradable energetic materials, neutralisation methods and experiences from international collaborations and travels. Further conclusions and a wider outlook for the future end the report.
