When using dosimeter "Dosimeter 61" in combination with body armour "Kroppsskydd 94", and placing it outside the body armour will provide the most accurate dose estimate, but a placement under the body armour will also work from a radiation protection point of view. If the dosimeter is placed under the body armour, it should not be placed directly under the ceramic ballistic insert. In this case, it is important to be aware of that the dosimeter will show a lower dose than what is actually received by the person. In the case of a radiation incident, a procedure where placement of the dosimeter on the person is recorded is recommended, so that an estimate of the real dose to the individual can be done afterwards.
