Abstract
This milestone report from the MOMS project covers the activities in 2007. Laboratory experiments and field trials have been conducted with static sensors. However, in a field trial at SWEDEC, data were collected in a manner that could serve as a first simulation of a moving platform. The results will be used in the work with data analysis and combination of image data from several sensors. The experimental data also supports the work with development of detection algorithms. A methodology scheme to construct receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves from collected data has been developed. This work will be presented in a separate report. Also, a MatLab tool box for combination of image data from multiple sensors has been developed. The tool has been used to combine image data from 3-D laser radar and an imaging hyperspectral sensor. Image data from other sensors can be used as well. System issues have been addressed and four platform alternatives are suggested for further evaluation. Technology and performance description sheets have been prepared for some passive and active EO sensors; these will be published in a separate report. The system concept work will be continued next year.
