The FOI project FoRMA supports the long term planning of the Swedish Armed Forces. The project consists of several sub-projects. One of these sub-projects works directly with the military long term planners at the Armed Forces headquarters. This report describes the authors´ experiences from working directly with the long term military planners during the years 2006 and 2007. The process and our role is described as well as the most important lessons learned.
