On assignment from FMV, the Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI has documented the X-ray tomography system FoTomo. The system was developed at FOI in pursuit of a cost effective system to investigate unknown objects. An X-ray tomography system generates 3D information on the composition of an object, enabling discrimination and separation between composites. FoTomo was designed to be mobile allowing the system to be transported to remote sites and, moreover, designed to handle explosives. This report describes the work-flow of the documentation and choice of structure for handling new versions of soft- and hardware. The aim of the documentation is to guide future users on how to operate the system and how to pursue further development of this prototype. Comments are given on how to pursue the development and future promises. A manual of operation is appended this document, where further references on where to find hardware related guidance is given.
