This report describes the development within the "Synthetic actors" project, with a focus on the main activities between 2009 and 2011. First, a background to the project leads into the main goals that shaped the efforts during this period. All sub activities are listed while the main goals and results are described in Chapter 3. Fundamental concepts, techniques and methods are described to different extent. Finally, some main conclusions and experiences from the project are given.
