Abstract

Ten igniters for the air valve, which opens the air flow to the recovery system in exercise torpedoes and to the hydrogen peroxide in torpedo 62 and 613, have been tested concerning insulation and squib resistance before and after 23 days of ageing at 60°C. No Fire and all Fire current have also been measured. All tested igniters show full functionality within specified values. The name on the igniter differs between the test specification from FMV and the label on the igniter anti-static bag.
