Abstract
In the project Bredbandiga taktiska datalänkar a literature survey has been un-dertaken to highlight the scientific work in areas relevant to tactical data links. The work has been focused on communication systems and communication links for flight scenarios identified in the project's first work package. Unfortunately, the work has shown relatively few scientific publications. The published work consists mostly of descriptions of ongoing projects, both military and civilian. The lack of scientific publications is especially evident in the areas of channel models and networking. The reason for this is probably that the development and verification of channel models are costly activities, especially for aerospace ap-plications. The area of networking for this type of applications has up to now not been widely implemented. However, the need increases as the flying platforms need to interact. For the areas of modulation and coding, there is more published. However, the choice of modulation and coding are not highly dependent on the scenario and work for other applications can be reused. In the next phase of the project, findings from the literature survey will be con-sidered and different techniques will be developed and evaluated.
