Abstract

A surveillance study of 2 booster motors M60 has been performed. The impact of ageing on function and safety for handling has been evaluated. One of the motors was subjected to static firing while the other motor was dismantled for chemical and mechanical analyses of the explosives. The results from this study have been compared to corresponding results from earlier studies performed at FOI. There are no deviating results indicating that the function or safety for handling of the motors has been severely degrading compared to earlier surveillance studies.
