Abstract

The report contains a comparison between Lessons Learned processes applied in the Swedish Armed Forces and at the Command and control Regiment. The comparison results in a set of recommendations on how to form Lessons Learned processes in support of the command and control function, in support of the command and control warfare centers main competences, and in support of the units at the Command and control Regiment. The report concludes that Lessons Learned should be performed based on needs for development. A set of approaches are available, and the choice should be based on pre-identified needs. Lessons must be drawn from the whole spectrum of Armed Forces operations, and the school must actively request these Lessons. The Lessons Learned process applied by NATO show limited potential to acquire the knowledge the Command and control warfare center requires.
