Abstract

This pre-study provides the basis for field trials and laboratory experiments aimed at evaluating methods that, even when using lower levels of protection, makes it possible to minimize the spread/risk area during an accidental release of liquefied gas. This makes it possible to act more quickly, thus increasing the ability to save lives and reduce effects on the environment. The study contains a summary of previous work carried out with liquefied gases at FOA/FOI, an inventory of standardized laboratory methods for evaluating material resistance against chemicals and a summary of published articles in the field.
