Abstract

The report describes parts of the work performed and some of the work under way during 2014. A major part of the work is done within a trilateral cooperation with TNO, The Netherlands and DRDC, Canada. To enhance the predictive capability of a numerical code a better description of cavitation is needed. One possible such model for microcavitation is examined with the aim of implementing the result in a code. A brief study of the differences from three water models is performed and the results show surprisingly large differences. Most of which can be attributed to losses during compression of water. A half scale test was performed in Canada during October and the results therefrom will be available. Performance indicators for the Swedish plastic explosive m/46 have been reexamined and compared to a viable explosive for an IED. Other work under way is, for example, full scale simulation of UNDEX effects and measurement methods for performance indicators.
