Abstract
This is the documentation for a course on lethality of indirect fire systems. It focus on the events after a shell detonates or hits its target in order to assess the effects in the target and also if the purpose of the firing is fullfilled or not.The documentation describes different kinds of munition used for howitzers and mortars. This, combined with hit point distributions in order to assess the needed amount of munitions to defeat an enemy. Fuzes are only briefly discussed. Risk distances is also included since indirect fire often is used in support of own troops, and thus fired in their vincinity. This edition is intended to be usable at a first course. During the first times used needs of adjustments, additions and deletions will be recognized. There will be subsequent editions, possibly quite different from this.
