A new type of wind turbines are used in Björkhöjden wind farm, which according to measurements performed by Elsäkerhetsverket cause interference in the medium wave band. In this project, we have performed measurements to determine if the wind turbines could also cause interferences in frequency bands used by the Swedish Armed Forces. The measurements were performed in the beginning of November 2017 on a number of sites, inside and around Björkhöjden wind farm. The results from the measurements indicate that the strongest interferences are located in the middle wave band. In the HF and LF bands, interference was registered in the direct vicinity of the wind turbines and at distances 5-10 kilometres away from the wind farm. At greater distances, no interference that could be directly related to the wind turbines were observed.
