The purpose of this report is to be the main material for a general course in exterior ballistics. This material is intended to be used as an aid in teaching exterior ballistics to employees of Swedish Armed Forces and Swedish Procurement Agency as well as to employees at FOI. The report aims to give the reader general understanding of the main physical phenomena in exterior ballistics rather than mathematical formulation of such. Main areas covered in the report are aerodynamics and stability of the projectile in trajectory, meteorology, trajectory computations and ring tables.
