This report presents the participation of FOI on the Surma seminar 2019, held in Helsinki, Finland 25- 27 september 2019. Surma is a corporation operating in the field of vulnerability assessments of ships. Working with similar questions, FOI is interested in the methods and philosophies of Surma's approach to vulnerability assessments, and how they employ those methods and philosophies in their softwares. The seminar was composed of a number of lectures held by representatives from different parts of the international marine industry, as well as a demonstration of the software that Surma uses for their assessments of ships.
