Abstract
The aim of the project "Models for vulnerability and lethality assessments" is to develop new models or to implement existing models for vulnerability or lethality assessments on a platform level. It started in 2017 and ends 2019. Part of the work has been focused on extracting knowledge from other projects within FOI, projects that focus on technical and phenomenological understanding, and condense that knowledge into models suitable for assessments on a platform level. Some of the topics covered were: Initiation of munitions from blast and heat. Development of a penetration model for shaped charge warheads. Models for behind armour debris. Sensitivity analysis of parameters for behind armour debris. Models and methods for assessments of anti-tank mines. Models and methods for active protection systems, focusing on hard kill systems. This summarizing final report gives short descriptions of activities performed, focusing on activities done during 2019 but also including activities from previous years. A few examples of activities where the competence from the project has been utilized is also given.
