Abstract
Two target descriptions, one for a standing soldier and one for a simple command and control (C2) cabin, have been prepared for AVAL (Assessment of Vulnerability And Lethality, a Swedish assessment code). These targets are intended to be used to generate an initial set of example data for the NIFAK demonstrator (a stand-alone code demonstrating some of the capabilities of NIFAK, NATO Indirect Fire Appreciation Kernel). The geometry of the soldier was provided by DSTL-UK for this work and has been converted to AVAL-format and additional data has been added, such as material properties and kill criteria. The design and properties of the C2-cabin is based on an earlier proposal and is now finalized as an AVAL target description. This document is also intended to serve as an example of what kind of data that is needed for target descriptions for vulnerability and lethality assessments.
