Abstract
For a SAUNA Lab system the xenon volume of a sample is determined by measuring the stable xenon volume in the gas chromatograph (GC) during the transfer process. In order to accurately determine the activity concentration in the air volume corresponding to the sample the transfer functions between the different steps in the gas process must be known. The SAUNA Lab system at FOI has been modified to be able to handle a large range of sample volumes and the transfer factors for a range of xenon volumes have now been determined. The measured transfer functions differs some between the different xenon volumes used in this report, but for most of the transfer functions there are not at significant difference due to large uncertainties in the measurements. The stability of the system is good, and to reduce the total uncertainty for the measured transfer functions the uncertainty of the injected volume and the GC calibration must be reduced.
