Abstract

The present report describes the status of the activities conducted during 2021 in the Human Performance Enhancement (HPE) project. The work mainly included: - Continued horizon scanning and literature reviews with the aim to identify new technologies and methods in the area as well as their applicability. - Continued work to develop frameworks and analysis of influencing factors based on approaches to frameworks and technology inventory as proposed in earlier reports within this project. - Development of measurement methodology for evaluation of human enhancement. - Continued development of scenarios to be used as a starting point for assessment of the usability of technologies and methods in the area of human augmentation. Four new scenarios were developed with a focus on applications for marine operations, CBRN operations, and first responders and headquarter. - Participation in international collaborations that contribute to horizon scanning, scenario development and new methods for analysis of human performance.
