In order to be able to predict and further develop the ability of protective materials and warheads that are used in and against fortifications and other large platforms, detailed knowledge of the material behaviour of all relevant types of materials is required. The effectiveness of the performance of warheads and protective materials is limited by its material properties. This project is part of the Swedish Armed Forces research and development program and aims to develop knowledge within material characterization including experimental methods and constitutive material models for materials used in the field of weapons and protection. The project started in 2023 and this report presented the work that has been conducted during the year and the need for development that has been identified within this project.
