Sweden is strengthening its cyber defense and has established training programs for conscripted cyber soldiers and specialist officers with a focus on cyber operations. To select suitable candidates, the Swedish Defense Research Agency (FOI) has developed the test batteries CyberTest Future Soldiers (CTFS) and CyberTest Future Officers (CTFO). These tests, which are divided into several components, undergo regular quality assurance and have previously demonstrated predictive capabilities. The validation of CTFS 2024 is presented in this report. The validation shows that the test generally maintains a quality level sufficient for its purpose, while also highlighting several areas for improvement. These areas include enhancing the quality of certain questions, clarifying instructions, adjusting time limits for some components, eliminating or further developing one of the components, and exploring new components. The quality reviews of the tests have increased their quality over time. However, we emphasize that the tests will need regular adjustments to keep pace with the rapid development within cyber defense.
