Abstract

Integrating Preparedness in the Development and Planning of Transport Systems, in Swedish Beredskapshänsyn i utveckling och långsiktsplanering av transportsystem, (BULT, translates into bolt or pin in English) is a five year research programme funded by the Swedish Transport Administration. This report, in the form of an anthology, establish some fundaments for research on preparedness integration and resilience in transport systems, with a focus on the Swedish context. Thus the title GrundBULT, which translates into linchpin in English. The report also presents some preliminary results from the first two work packages on logistical systems and on future technologies, as well as some of the starting points of the forthcoming two work packages on decision-making and scenarios. Our hope is that the report, apart from presenting some starting values and results from BULT, may help inspire more research regarding these issues.
