This report constitutes the formal delivery of the AVAL maintenance and development project of 2024. The report gives a short introduction to the software and its usage. AVAL was used (by FOI) to support the Swedish Armed forces in several projects to generate vulnerability and lethality data during 2024. There is also ongoing work to assure the quality of the models used by AVAL. The development work is divided into two branches; one maintains the current version (AVAL 6.9) while the other develops AVAL 7, which has a completely new code structure. A purpose of the new structure is to increase the flexibility of the code and thereby simplify the implementation of e.g. new models, new geometry formats, and to improve the accuracy of simulations involving targets with high velocities.
