Abstract

The document is a user guide and reference manual for the visualization program AFE 6 (version 6.4.0). AFE 6 visualizes 3D and 2D time-based data. AFE 6 is primarily intended to be used to visualize Simulink simulations, but as the program uses csv files (semicolon separated text files) as input, it can also be used more generally. For communication with Simulink, components in Simulink have been developed, Slafe, which are described in the document. AFE 6 is a new development of previous versions of AFE (Advanced Front End). The focus of the new development has been to: make visualizations more easily accessible when working with models, modernize the development tools and 3D models and make the configuration of a scenario simple. By configuring the header in the csv-file a scenario can automatically be generated. The document describes installation of AFE 6 and Slafe as well as how to quickly get started with the program. A more detailed description of AFE 6 and Slafe is given in the reference manual.
